Hi Valeria! How did you end up going with the menstrual cup? I managed to summons up the courage to buy another one and will try that when I have my period next! Eeeek. Wish me luck!

Oh my gosh this is hilarious!!! I can just imagine your poor sister’ face the second time around! That is a special sis! I’m surprised you are willing to try it again! I have heard great things about it but I’m too scared to try it!

This was HYSTERICAL. As someone who totally loves her menstrual cup, I kinda hope you get a better sized one and try again! I have to share this with my sister and ask her if she would help me in this situation, hehehe. Though I think I’d turn to my husband first – he definitely knows his way around all my bits pretty well. lmao

Thank you! I’m glad you could see the humour in it (I wasn’t sure how it would be received exactly). I think enough time has passed for me to forget all the trauma so I will definitely give it another shot!

I thought I was the only woman on the planet who hated her menstrual cup!! Mine hurt. Period. Ha. I even used coconut oil to lube it. I’ve given birth 7 times and the thing hurt. Oh well.

You’re not the only one, Carrie!! It’s encouraging to know that other women struggle with it too because everything else I’ve heard about it is positive. I guess if it doesn’t work, you can’t force it.

Mandles I can’t believe you’re even considering trying again after that ordeal! And when are you home for long enough to give it a good road-test before you’re off again? Third world hospital + vagina = NO BUENO!

I’ll be home in September for a few months so perhaps that’s the best time. What can I say, just a sucker for torment! Haha!
